I’m having a tough go right now. This week (yesterday through next Monday), a 7th Dan (blackbelt) will be teaching at my aikido dojo. I want to learn and experience as much as I can while he is in town, however the dojo schedule is set up such that it really favors those who have traditional 9 to 5 jobs. Classes go from 6:30p to 8:00p almost daily. My problem is that with my 9 to 5 job, if I want to visit Kaley after work, even for a short time, that makes it impossible to get to class on time (due to the location of Kaley and the dojo). I’ve suggested that the dojo change 1 night a week to end later (perhaps like 7 - 9 or 6 - 8 broken in 1 hour classes) but neither of these have gotten much traction yet. If I go to class, then by the time I make it to see Kaley (8:45) she is well past her prime and bed time.
